Steven Gee

Steven gained a first class degree in Physics in 1981 and initially worked in purchasing and materials control for the Ford Motor Company. He left Ford to enter the field of intellectual property protection in 1990 and qualified as a UK and European patent attorney.
Since becoming a sole practitioner in 1997 Steven has assisted clients in protecting their patents, trade marks and designs in the UK and around the World. Steven has drafted several hundred patent applications which he has directly prosecuted at the UK and European Patent Offices, and indirectly prosecuted at many other patent offices around the World. Steven works primarily in the mechanical field, albeit across a diverse range including for example hair styling devices, vacuum cleaners, borehole drilling equipment, locks and latches, and heat exchangers.
Steven has assisted clients with litigation at the UK Intellectual Property Office and the UK High Court and has prosecuted several oppositions and appeals at the European Patent Office.
When not working Steven’s main recreational activity is golf but he also spends much of his free time walking and kayaking in the Lake District.
