Camila Magalhaes Silva

Trade Mark Paralegal

Camila graduated with a Law degree in Brazil in 2014. She was admitted as a lawyer in Brazil in early 2015 after passing her Bar exams. In 2016, Camila relocated to London, where she studied for a Master’s Degree in International Commercial Law at the University of Westminster. Since then, she has worked in many fields, including customer service, translation/interpretation, teaching and finally recruitment.

In 2023, Camila joined SH&P as a paralegal and has been assisting our attorneys and partners in various matters, including the filing and prosecution of both national and international trade marks, recordal proceedings and design applications. Camila is now due to start her training in September 2024 to fully qualify as a trade mark attorney.

In her spare time, Camila is an active gym-goer and loves yoga classes. She is also very interested in acting and modelling, collaborating mostly with small brands around the South West.

Why IP?
I find fascinating how much IP is present in our daily lives, and we don’t realise. It’s very interesting to understand how IP protects brands and how to enforce these rights.
