SH&P Pitch & Protect 2025 – Winner Announced!

We are delighted to announce that Regeno Ltd is the SH&P Pitch & Protect 2025 Winner!

Our Pitch and Protect 2025 initiative proved to be hugely popular and we had well over 100 applications to choose from. It was an incredible response and one thing we certainly realised is that the level of innovation, drive and passion from the early-stage and start-up community is truly inspiring.

It was a very difficult choice but there can only be one winner.

Our huge congratulations go to Adarsh Bhardwaj of Regeno Ltd, a Strathclyde start-up and the recipient of £10K worth of free funding from SH&P which will be put towards developing and securing legal patent protection for Regeno.

Adarsh Bhardwaj, an Aero-mechanical Engineering graduate from the University of Strathclyde.

Founded in 2023 by Adarsh Bhardwaj, an aero-mechanical engineering graduate from the University of Strathclyde, Regeno Ltd is a clean energy technology start-up based in Scotland. Its business model is the design and manufacture of modular, flat-pack, ‘plug-and-play’ wind turbines.

A core part of the Regeno business is the leveraging of autonomous assembly and self-repair technology to drive down costs and improve sustainability.

Increased modularity and portability (and ease of repair) helps to make  renewable energy become more accessible and affordable as we all strive towards a clean energy ‘net zero’ future.

Regeno are working to do this through:

• Product innovation: they are developing the world’s first modular wind turbine system that can be assembled without tools, cranes or specialist installers. This reduces installation costs and complexity, making it suitable for homes, businesses and remote locations.
• Sustainability focus: the turbines are made from recyclable materials designed to be wildlife-safe and which can significantly cut carbon emissions. Reduction figures per user are quoted at up to 1.5 tons per unit annually (equivalent to the planting of over 60 trees per year).
• Customer benefits: each unit can save its user up to 25% on electricity bills, providing round-the-clock energy and with rapid payback compared to traditional renewable solutions.

As a Pitch & Protect winner, Regeno Ltd receive £10,000 in funding from SH&P towards intellectual property services.

Adarsh shared his thoughts on the Pitch & Protect experience:

“I am very thankful to SH&P for selecting me for this prestigious award. The pitching experience was seamless and really enjoyed chatting with the team. I felt like I was pitching to my family members, they listened attentively and were very enthusiastic about our tech.

I can’t wait for the next steps of our journey with the incredible SH&P team, as we head towards international patenting. The award will accelerate our roadmap towards commercialisation. We need more initiatives like this so kudos to SH&P for thinking outside the box and launching this competition.”

We launched this initiative in early 2025 to offer something different and to give a chance for early-stage innovators to secure IP funding.

We recognise that innovating, developing and then legally protecting can be a long and bumpy road and it can also be expensive. This funding injection will make all the difference to Regeno Ltd.
